~Meet Angelique Nunez~ Flowers by Kim, Owner
Angelique Nunez has been working with Flowers by Kim for about 12 years and is the current owner. I began working in 2012 to earn money through High School and College. Kimberly Lahargou – previous owner / founder of Flowers by Kim began the business in 2008, a graduate from CalPoly. Kim wanted to start something locally for the wedding community.
“I love designing, flowers, and love the local wedding industry. I changed my major to business, within a couple of months of graduating I became the owner of Flowers by Kim. Kim is still a bit involved. Dice debrief: One thing I have learned is the flexibility and ability to produce large events. When I was younger and up to the last five years, we have worked on producing more than one event in a weekend. I am learning to be adaptable to produce large events. Kim is acknowledged as a mentor in helping me grow and to owning it. Kim taught me everything I know and has set me up really well. I really like the idea of doing collaboration with our central coast wedding group and have a solid team. “I think more than anything, I have a lot of pride and gratitude in the company which we have, as a team, executed so well. I have so much gratitude to our employees, wholesalers like you all, coordinators, and the venue. At Flowers by Kim, we have always taken two weddings and no more. So, I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone to take on more than what I am used to because of our team. Our team is great. Every weekday is dedicated to getting our schedule set up: products, prepping, design. By having this, we are successful for the wedding day.”

“Honestly, you at Eufloria Flowers are the comforting part of our business because anything you sell is something we can rely on and one of the biggest pieces. Chad and Pedro are great at helping us get our roses and substitutions. We really appreciate your customer service. I love all the roses. My favorite is Peaches N Dream. My favorite legacy is Quicksand. It is the perfect rose and palette for any bride. Paradise Beach is my pop-up color. My other favorite in spray is Virgo. It has a higher petal count, really opens up, and gives off a more garden vibe”
Weddings
“I see everything getting more interest in color which is nice and not so much white...more pink and peach. I have received a handful of red colors...using butterfly sensations...brown sugar sprays are what I use.
We do weddings and events that sits with a minimum of 5000. We do occasionally take below the minimum. We do not typically do graduation events again I don’t say never. If we can’t provide the service, we always network out.
The spray roses always come in looking amazing from Eufloria Fowers. Our wedding events are ususally on Saturdays so that’s why we pick up on Tuesday and then process them as needed.”

“We have a great questionnaire we send out to potential clients to include the proposal and needed points. I am always available, but the fastest way is to email us.
Advice for someone looking for an event planner is finding the budget. Clients help us with the coordinator to work with the budget. We have amazing coordinator in the area. We are always trying to do our best. We will work on costs and sizes or if needed to remove certain things to adjust the cost.
My happy place when I am not at Flowers by Kim is work. When I do get a few hours is with my family, my animals, but really family time at home.
Most importantly a couple is in the area that has the best vendors who care for their clients. We thrive off of their happiness. Whatever they want we do our best to produce for them and we are here to make sure their special day goes well without a hitch.”
